How it works
About the occupations in demand
The clearest route from overseas, because the province's own guide says it may be used to recruit outside Canada where the employer has been authorised first. The occupation list is closed: NOC 33102, 73300, 75110, 65310, 95109, 75101, 94140 and 94141.
Applying from outside Canada: The employer must obtain the Office of Immigration's authorisation before issuing the job offer, and each case is assessed individually.

Requirements
What this stream asks for
- A permanent, full-time job offer in one of the eight listed occupations
- At least one year of directly related experience
- Language at CLB 4, proven by a test
- For long-haul truck drivers, twelve months of long-haul experience and an employer established in the province for at least two years
Programme
The Prince Edward Island programme right now
We could not confirm whether Prince Edward Island's programme is currently open, paused or restricted. The province's website blocks automated access, so the details below come from its own published application guide of January 2026 rather than from the live pages. Check the official page before relying on any of it.
The province's Labour Impact Category branding has been replaced by a consolidated Workforce guide. Scoring is out of 100 for the worker streams. There is no officially published minimum passing score, despite a widely repeated figure of 50 points that appears nowhere in the province's own guides.
Checked against the province's own pages on September 11, 2026. Streams change through the year, so confirm on the official page before you apply.
