About the yukon business nominee program
The only Yukon route where you apply for yourself rather than through an employer. Yukon publishes live instructions but states no open or closed status and no intake window, so confirm before you start.
Applying from outside Canada: Open from abroad, and the exploratory trip and interview must happen in Yukon in person.

Requirements
What this stream asks for
- Net worth of at least $500,000, with at least $300,000 in liquid assets
- A capital investment of at least $300,000 within the first two years
- At least 65 points, and a role in the business at TEER 0 or 1
- IELTS level 6 or TEF Canada level 4, which Yukon expresses as raw test levels rather than CLB
- At least three years of entrepreneurial experience, an exploratory trip, and an in-person interview in Yukon
- A business not already started, and no active application to another provincial programme
Programme
The Yukon programme right now
Both 2026 intake windows have closed. Yukon opened only two: 19 to 30 January and 6 to 17 July, and the final application deadline passed on 26 August 2026. No third window and no 2027 date has been announced. Expressions of interest do not carry over between windows. A public consultation on redesigning the programme closes on 8 October 2026, with changes expected in 2027.
The Yukon Community Program pilot concluded as planned on 30 June 2025. Yukon also states that you do not need to hire an immigration representative to apply, which is worth knowing before anyone charges you for it.
