Visitor Visa for applicants from Egypt

• Cairo visa office checklist (IMM 5863, April 2026); most applicants are not interviewed.
• Business owners: commercial registration, tax certificate, 6 months of corporate bank statements and the social insurance document (ta'ameenat egtema'eia).
• Applicants aged 75 or older must show health insurance for the trip.
• A minor travelling alone needs both parents to authorize the application at the VAC or a notarized travel consent.
• Religious workers need a letter from the Ministry of Endowments (Awkaf) or their church in Egypt.

Biometrics

Give biometrics (fingerprints and photo) at a visa application centre in Cairo after paying the biometrics fee; biometrics given for a visitor visa or study permit stay valid for 10 years, and IRCC cannot issue a visa or permit beyond their expiry date.

Medical exam

Egypt is not on IRCC's medical-exam country list, so a stay over 6 months generally needs an exam only if you lived 6 months or more in a listed country in the past year, will work in a job where public health must be protected, or apply for a super visa; exams must be done by an IRCC panel physician.

Police certificate

IRCC does not list a police certificate as an upfront requirement for a visitor visa or for a study permit from this visa office; IRCC may ask for one during processing, for example if you declare a criminal record.
