About the new brunswick skilled worker
The province's main worker stream, currently constrained. Since 4 May 2026 its New Brunswick Experience pathway has issued invitations only for health care, education and construction occupations, because the allocation is running low. The graduates and priority occupations pathways sit under the same stream.
Applying from outside Canada: Only the Priority Occupations pathway is reachable from abroad, and only through a government recruitment mission. Accommodation and food services occupations have been excluded from this stream since February 2026.

Requirements
What this stream asks for
- A full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an employer trading in New Brunswick for at least 24 months
- Aged 19 or over, with language at CLB 4
- For the Experience pathway, six months with the employer and six months living in the province
- For Priority Occupations, an offer arising directly from a government-led recruitment mission
Programme
The New Brunswick programme right now
Open but heavily restricted. Since 4 May 2026 the province's main experience pathway has invited only health care, education and construction occupations, and New Brunswick says plainly this is because the allocation is running low. It also paused new employer designations under the Atlantic Immigration Program in February 2026.
The Critical Worker Pilot exists but takes no direct applications and serves six named employers. The Private Career College Graduate Pilot runs to the end of 2027 but only for students already registered. The old Entrepreneurial stream has been replaced by Business Immigration, and the in-person exploratory visit connection was paused in November 2024 and is not returning.
