About the new brunswick strategic initiative
The province's francophone stream, tested entirely in French at NCLC 5. Its three pathways cover workers already in the province, graduates of Université de Moncton or the CCNB, and people working remotely for Canadian employers.

Requirements
What this stream asks for
- French at NCLC 5 in all four abilities
- A high school education and at least 65 points on the selection grid
- Proof of funds, waived if you live in New Brunswick or hold a job offer
- For the Francophone Workers pathway, six months in the province, waived if recruited on a government mission
Programme
The New Brunswick programme right now
Open but heavily restricted. Since 4 May 2026 the province's main experience pathway has invited only health care, education and construction occupations, and New Brunswick says plainly this is because the allocation is running low. It also paused new employer designations under the Atlantic Immigration Program in February 2026.
The Critical Worker Pilot exists but takes no direct applications and serves six named employers. The Private Career College Graduate Pilot runs to the end of 2027 but only for students already registered. The old Entrepreneurial stream has been replaced by Business Immigration, and the in-person exploratory visit connection was paused in November 2024 and is not returning.
