Requirements
What this stream asks for
- A degree or diploma of at least two years, in person, from Memorial University or the College of the North Atlantic within the last two years
- A valid post-graduation work permit
- At least a third ownership, actively managing the business for one full year
- Language at CLB 7, aged 21 or over
Programme
The Newfoundland and Labrador programme right now
Open and inviting regularly, with the most recent round on 10 September 2026. The province moved to an expression of interest model in February 2025 after demand outstripped the spaces available.
Priority Skills NL no longer appears among the province's current pathways, though no formal closure was announced. Selection is discretionary rather than scored: meeting the criteria does not guarantee an invitation, and the province notes that applications tied to the St John's area may be given lower priority where a route is already heavily used.
