About the international education: career employment pathway
Being wound down. In June 2026 Manitoba invited candidates with active profiles and at least six months of Manitoba work to move into the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway, where they are considered on a priority basis. No draw has selected this pathway since at least May 2026.
Applying from outside Canada: Not a route from abroad, and in any case being wound down.

Requirements
What this stream asks for
- Graduation within the last three years from a designated Manitoba institution
- Language at CLB 7
- A full-time job offer of at least a year in an occupation on the in-demand list
- Full-time work in Manitoba on a valid work permit, and residence in the province
Programme
The Manitoba programme right now
Open and drawing roughly monthly. The Career Employment Pathway for Manitoba graduates is being wound down: in June 2026 the province invited its candidates to move across to the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway, and no draw has selected that pathway since. Manitoba has not used the word closed, and its criteria page is still published.
Manitoba excludes several groups from every pathway: refugee claimants, live-in caregivers in Canada, temporary workers living in another province, spouses of Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and anyone with an active application to another provincial or federal programme. Holding an Express Entry profile does not count as an application.
