Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Manitoba publishes more draw history than any other province, back to 2015, and it repays reading. The Skilled Worker Overseas pathway looks like the route for applicants abroad, but for the past five months Manitoba has invited overseas candidates only where it approached them first through a recruitment initiative. The two business pathways are not being drawn at all at the moment, though they are still assessing what comes in.

Status
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program right now
Open and drawing roughly monthly for the worker streams, with the most recent round on 10 September 2026. The Business Investor Stream is the exception: Manitoba states on its draws page that expression of interest draws for that stream are not currently being conducted, although it still accepts and assesses business expressions of interest. The Career Employment Pathway for Manitoba graduates is being wound down: in June 2026 the province invited its candidates to move across to the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway, and no draw has selected that pathway since. Manitoba has not used the word closed, and its criteria page is still published.
Manitoba excludes several groups from every pathway: refugee claimants, live-in caregivers in Canada, temporary workers living in another province, spouses of Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and anyone with an active application to another provincial or federal programme. Holding an Express Entry profile does not count as an application.
