How it works
About the health talent pathway
Runs two tracks: one that needs no Express Entry profile, and one that does and carries the nomination boost. Health is a priority sector, so it draws on the protected half of the province's allocation. Home support workers (NOC 44101) can only use the non-Express Entry track. Saskatchewan aims to process Express Entry track applications in six months or less.
Applying from outside Canada: Open from abroad on both tracks; the one year of experience may have been gained anywhere.

Programme
The Saskatchewan programme right now
The worker streams are open, but Saskatchewan permanently closed every entrepreneur and farm pathway on 27 March 2025, and now allocates its 4,761 nominations by sector: at least half to priority sectors such as health, agriculture, trades, mining, manufacturing, energy and technology, and at most a quarter to capped sectors, which open only in short intake windows.
Saskatchewan permanently closed all entrepreneur and farm pathways on 27 March 2025: no new applications, no new expressions of interest and no further invitations. Its published draw results are a PDF that has not been updated since September 2024.
